Gay.com Does a Free Party! For Winter

For all you cash strapped artist types out there. There's free food and booze being handed out at Therapy tomorrow. In honor of  "Winter Is Hot In The City". (I didn't write the marketing copy, don't' shoot me). I asked, what specially would be free. Some bomboms, or a spritz from the soda fountain? My contact at gay.com wasn't sure. He assures that there'll be some sort of open bar and free food. The optimal word being free. So - whatever's being doled out, for everyone on the dole. I think it might be worth checking out. Considering there's been a marked drop in liquor sponsored parties.

Links in the News, Buy those Euros

China is in talks to buy Morgan, in true tradition; we’ll see an announcement this weekend, regarding the fate of this institution (I predict). Now Goldman is the last man standing, now making it the smallest bank on Wall Street, yup, I need to verify my facts, but now, in a few weeks, we’ve seen a complete restructuring of Wall Street …. yup.

Although for some reason the market is falling when Bush addressed the nation (at least when I saw it).

BlogBuzz - WTF, a Nader Run.

I'm so mad right now. When I first heard the news I wanted to throw something at the screen. The sad thing is, Nader’s candidacy affects Obama more then Clinton, consider this test question, Gore to Obama as Kerry is to Clinton.

Thinking of those fond events that handed Bush his win and gave us eight grueling years of torment; fiscal irresponsibility and the outright reversal of human rights makes me cringe. These wonderful hallmarks of the administration can be traced to outright voter gullibility.

The Dems can lose this; I’ve already talked to some Obama voters that are whole heartedly switching to the Nader camp. His supporters tend to be highly idealistic; idealistic to the point of irrational.

The press doesn’t really get it; I wonder what the first poll numbers will look like. Once again, Nader might just have enough votes on his side to hand McCain the win. 100 years in Iraq here we come. Gay marriage, even the hope of it, you can toss it out the window, thanks to consumer advocate Ralph Nader. Again, Nader affects Obama voters more then a Clinton nom.

BlogBuzz – The FBI encourages Democracy with unpaid bills.

The blogs are buzzing with the latest info that the FBI hasn’t paid it’s phone bills, in a strange way this reminds us, that our privacy is still being undermined. Not only is our privacy pointless to the government, but they can’t even use their new found power to truly launch a real investigation and well, use this power to get the “bad guys”. Daily Kos as always has a much more insightful post into the matter then I do. Also, if John Stewart had a comedy writing staff, they’d make good work out of this (not bitching about the writers, bitching about the producers.)

"We also found that late payments have resulted in telecommunications carriers actually disconnecting phone lines established to deliver surveillance results to the FBI, resulting in lost evidence," according to the audit by Inspector General Glenn A. Fine.
