Once again Mara Hoffman show's incredibly strong. It was a truly amazing collection, once again staying true to her roots of understanding pattern, yet this time branching out to include Rorschach drawings and inkblots. She loves a woman's back and braided a spin to accent an almost classic suit (from the front). I'm starting to notice here dresses walking down the Manhattan streets. What makes her unique is her ability to use large patterns but not overwhelm. Pleating them in just the right way to flutter flawlessly. Well done.
The models are multiethnic and not the fragile waifish kind we've seen in seasons past. She consistently tries to use normal looking people and not the coat hangers of seasons past. This is also an emerging trend.
