Sang her heart out and brought the house down. We were treated to a Wicked show.

Then, They Auctioned off a Man.

The dancer offered himself up at the last minute for a good cause. He went for $2,000 bucks. A date? He was one of the acrobats that opened the dinner. Swang from black curtains. Very Cirque du Solie. A cute lesbian couple won $10,000 bucks of furniture for $14,000. Other people won trips and everyone applauded. I did some research, the hot guy is from Mantryx, the troop started off the program.

This is when the night drags on and i can't take any more pictures or run around anymore, I took notes for another post and will probably add it to the mix later.

Dessert for HRC

Because I have nothing relevant to report on. Here's a pic of dessert. The speeches to follow were great but long, I never knew that Williams first perfume was Opium and that she was the first African American Ms. America, go girl.

At Intermission - There's a Six Pack

Even though I can't afford a membership. The fab boys lifted their shirts to reveal an amazing set of abs. Thanks. Tariq Faruq! Damn I want to belong to David Barton. I really wanted the silent auction because six months were going for $400 but I think the final bid went for about $550, well beyond my writerly range. Really I need a gym membership, I feel flabby.

Becki Newton and Vanessa Williams love the Gays at the HRC Gala

As everyone in the press is helping me spell her name. She's fierce and loves the gays. Becki's wearing Gucci. Vanessa is wearing a Lebanese designer. We find out later, during the speeches and the awards presentation that Williams was raised in a gay friendly household, before it was common to be Out. Although I'm not quite sure what she's done for the community other then her amazing tolerance, she still looks stunning and has a genuinely warm smile.

The HRC Gala Brings Out Gay High Society

I'm at the HRC Gala. Outside the Hilton tranies are protesting in nun outfits. Inside the fancy gays are sipping on small glasses of Vodka (surprisingly small). Stangly a cosmos glass is no where to be found. The crowd is mixed. Everyone is having power conversation. I've heard jets mentioned a few times. Air kisses are a plenty. Imagine the Townhouse with sprinkles of Vlada and Therapy with a smattering of Baracuda gays to round out the mix. Everyone is in a snazy suit or a tux. I brought my out my  Brioni from hiding. Still the boys don't notice me. The silent auction is in full swing. The trips and such are getting high bids, two bartenders from Party Staffing are selling well, $2,500. I want the David Burton membership. Yup. Now I wait patiently for the celebs to enter.
