I never thought in a million years I'd be writing that as my headline.
The sitcom that is the Sarah Plain show continues as she preps for Gibson. She had her family stand with her at the convention. I consider their antics fair game. Especially considering McCain's blatant lies. Clearly it's political, the shotgun wedding to Levi and Blair, the desire to create image of the wholesome American family.
The Enquirer is a reliable source of scandal. Yup, that's about it. They reported Clinton's trysts and Edwards misadventures. Why a sex scandal can torpedo a Democrat and not a Republican is beyond me.
Considering the breadth of the Palin misgivings, I hope the American public can see through her position.
Track is portrayed as the biggest bad boy in Wasilla. A serious drug problem, vandalism, theft, and partying are his main pastimes, allegedly. Which really wouldn't be that remarkable if the Republican party wasn't holding him up as, you know, a role model. If true, this would make the Palins a caricature: the country family with a pregnant teen, son on OxyContin, and a mom desperately trying to present a respectable face to the world. And failing.
If you're in a major convention speech, you're game for the press. If Palin didn't want them mentioned she should have left them out. I wonder if any of this will be mentioned on the ABC interview.
